HIV Medicine Association Communications and Program Coordinator

Position Overview

Provide administrative and communications support and coordination to the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA) team.  Execute and support activities to advance programmatic and policy activities related to HIVMA’s strategic priorities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate processes relating to HIVMA communications and publications, including member emails, production of issue briefs and clinical resources and graphic design needs to meet timeline and quality expectations
  • Manage social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), following IDSA’s compliance guidelines
  • Support governance activities, including coordinating and organizing virtual and in-person meetings, developing briefing materials and presentations, supporting the annual elections process, and maintaining committee directories and resources in a current and accurate state
  • Maintain the HIVMA website, collaborate with staff to keep the content current and accurate
  • Provide coordination and administrative support to policy, advocacy and programmatic activities as needed
  • Respond to or route inquiries from members and the general public in a timely manner and with a focus to deliver exceptional service

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related business field or equivalent related experience
  • Prior experience in a support role with increasing responsibilities within a health policy or healthcare association preferred
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite Programs, including SharePoint
  • Prior experience with professional social media accounts
